Caption Magic Privacy

Caption Magic is a private, on-device caption suggestion utility. We do not collect personal data, run analytics, or transmit photos off your device.

What Caption Magic does on your device

• Reads a photo you pick from Photos or capture with the camera.
• Runs Apple's Vision framework locally to classify the photo into general categories (for example "food", "outdoor", "interior").
• Reads any text visible in the photo using Apple's text recognition, also locally.
• Matches the detected categories and your wizard inputs to bundled caption templates.
• Fills the templates with the information you typed and shows you 3 to 5 caption suggestions.

What Caption Magic does not do

• It does not upload your photos to any server.
• It does not call any cloud caption service, language model, or third-party API.
• It does not log in to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Facebook on your behalf.
• It does not post anything for you. You copy or share captions yourself.
• It does not copy captions or hashtags from creators or social platforms.
• It does not track you across apps or websites.

Permissions

• Camera: only requested the first time you tap the Camera button. Used only to capture a photo for analysis on this device.
• Photo Library: only requested the first time you tap Import from Photos. Used only to read the photo you pick.

What stays on your device

Your saved captions, brand presets, and free-plan quota state stay in this app's local SwiftData store. There is no cloud sync in version 1.

Suggestions are template-based

Captions are produced by filling bundled templates with the words you type. There is no model-based generation and no cloud language service. Caption Magic is not a partner of, and not affiliated with, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Facebook.
