Daylight Window collects no personal data. Sun times are calculated on this device from latitude, longitude, and the current date using a native port of the public-domain NOAA Solar Position Algorithm. No analytics. No advertising in v1. No tracking. No remote logging.
If you tap Use my current location, Daylight Window asks iOS for one-shot access to your location and uses the coordinates only to compute today's sun times for that point. The coordinates stay on this device and are not shared.
If you prefer not to grant location access, you can add cities by name and Daylight Window will use Apple's on-device geocoder to look up coordinates.
Saved cities, day plans, and your settings are stored locally with SwiftData. You can delete everything from Settings (double-confirm).
Daylight Window is a planning utility, not medical or travel safety advice. Daylight and weather data can be delayed or incomplete. Use local guidance, sunscreen guidance, and personal judgment.
