PantryPal Privacy Notice

PantryPal tracks what you have at home on this device. Items, events, custom zones, notes, and bundled idea cards stay on this device. The current version does not run a server for your pantry data.

Data we do not collect

• We do not run any analytics SDK.
• We do not send your items, photos, or receipts to any server.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in this version.
• We do not collect contacts, location, microphone, calendar, health, or background-refresh data.

Permissions we ask for

• Camera: only when you tap Scan Receipt, to capture a receipt page.
• Photo Library (read): only when you tap Import Photo, to read a photo of a receipt or label.
• Notifications: only when you save your first item with a reminder enabled, or toggle reminders in Settings.

On-device receipt reading

Receipt text recognition runs on this device via Apple's Vision framework. Extracted text is shown to you for per-line review before any item is saved. Auto-save is not possible. PantryPal does not use a remote text recognition service.

What PantryPal does not do

PantryPal is a general home pantry organizer. It does not determine if food is safe to eat. It does not provide nutrition information, calorie counts, or dietary advice. It does not detect allergens. It does not provide medical advice. Best-before reminders are based on dates you enter yourself, not on any safety judgment by the app.

Delete your data

Settings → Local data → Delete all local data removes every item, event, custom zone, and pending reminder from this device. Deleting the app from your device also removes local PantryPal data.

Children

PantryPal is a general-purpose utility, not directed at children under 13.
