How do I add an item? Tap the + tab. Type a name, set the quantity, pick a zone, optionally set a best-before date. Tap Save.
How do I scan a receipt? Tap the + tab. Tap "Scan receipt". The first time you do this, your device will ask for camera permission. Capture the receipt. PantryPal reads the text on this device and shows each line for you to confirm. Tap the checkboxes for the items you want to save, edit the names if needed, and tap Save.
How do best-before reminders work? If you add a best-before date to an item and turn on the reminder toggle, PantryPal asks for notification permission the first time you save such an item. It then schedules a local reminder a few days before the date. You can change the default lead time in Settings.
Does PantryPal tell me if food is safe to eat? No. PantryPal does not make food-safety judgments. It is a reminder tool only. Always check the label and use your own judgment.
Does PantryPal track nutrition or allergens? No. PantryPal does not provide nutrition or allergy information.
How do I delete everything? Settings → Local data → Delete all local data. Double-confirm.
