Shelf Ledger Privacy Notice

Shelf Ledger keeps your home catalog and lending tracker on this device. Items, shelves, tags, loans, wishlist entries, and notes stay on this device unless you explicitly export them via the system share sheet.

Data we do not collect

• We do not run any analytics service.
• We do not send your catalog or scans to any server.
• We do not use third-party advertising services in this version.
• We do not collect contacts, location, microphone, calendar, health, or background-refresh data.

Permissions we ask for

• Camera: only when you tap Scan Barcode or Capture Text, to read a barcode or page text.
• Notifications: only when you save a loan with the reminder toggle on.

On-device text reading

Text recognition runs on this device via Apple's Vision framework. Extracted text is shown to you for review and edit before any item is saved. Auto-save is not possible. Shelf Ledger does not use a remote text recognition service.

What Shelf Ledger does not do

Shelf Ledger is a private home catalog and lending tracker. It does not look up book covers or descriptions from any external service. It is not affiliated with any third-party book database, retailer, e-reader platform, ISBN registry, national archive, or public lending institution. Borrower names are typed manually; Shelf Ledger does not access your contacts.

Delete your data

Settings → Local data → Delete all local data removes every catalog item, shelf, tag, loan, wishlist entry, and pending reminder from this device. Deleting the app from your device also removes any local data that has not been exported.

Children

Shelf Ledger is a general-purpose utility, not directed at children under 13.
